Typically this involves cleaning the area twice a day with warm water and a mild, unscented soap, then patting dry and applying a thin layer of Aquaphor ointment or an unscented moisturizer.
Blistering and crusting may occur, and is not uncommon. Do not rub, scratch or pick the area. Avoid UV exposure to the area for 4 weeks after treatment, and between sessions. Drink plenty of water immediately following a session.
The PicoSure can effectively target all colours, using the 755nm wavelength for darker colours like black, blue and green, and the 532nm wavelength for lighter colours like red, yellow and orange.

The PicoSure is effective on all ink colours and skin types. Its picosecond technology uses a photo-mechanical pressure wave that shatters the smallest target particles, without injuring the surrounding area, and requiring less treatments than traditional nanosecond lasers.
Unlike traditional nanosecond lasers that use photo-thermal technology to heat the ink particle, the PicoSure uses a more powerful pressure wave that better directs the energy into shattering the ink particles, minimizing the possibility of negative affect.
