The summer of 2022 is coming to a close. You know what that means! No, we’re not here to depress you with “Back to School” themes (but you can find them here). Instead, we’re delivering one of our monthly tattoos-in-the-news updates. What’s on deck for this month? Let’s review!
Interesting Tattoo Related Stories from Around the World as of September 2022
And the Most Covered-Up/Removed Tattoos Are…
Pop-culture news resource, the Insider, dropped an interesting article after the Labor Day long weekend. The piece detailed (according to notable tattoo artists) the four tattoos that are most commonly removed or covered up. These include the following:
- Names of ex-girlfriends / ex-boyfriends
- Vacation tattoos
- Quotes that are no longer meaningful
- Tattoos that are simply…poorly done
If you happen to have one of these tattoos (or any other) and also regret it, you can get it lasered off or faded for cover up at an Adrenaline Studios near you.
And the 5 Most Popular Animal Tattoos Are…
We move from tattoos people most commonly want removed to the most popular tattoo subjects from the animal kingdom. This month, 24/7 WallStreet reported that the top ten include the following:
- Other bird
The elephant at No.5 is a bit of a surprise, but it is a worldwide list so we suppose it’s logical. If you want to get a bird, dog, sea animal, or other wildlife/pet tattoo, contact an Adrenaline Studios near you.
World’s First NFT Tattoo Shop?
For the uninitiated, an NFT (non-fungible token) is a special type of crypto asset that allows holders to verify ownership of digital properties. These digital assets represent real-world objects such as art, music, in-game items and videos. NFTs have gone from trending to mainstay over the last year, with many industries opting-in to offer NFT versions of their creations, products, and services. The Crypto Times has not reported on the inevitable arrival of an NFT tattoo shop at MetaDollsNFT.com where those who opt-in can digitally ink their “character” with limited edition tattoo designs. Did they find inspiration in our own Claim Your Tattoo platform?
Perhaps our tattoo shops will enter the NFT arena some day soon. However, if you’re a “traditionalist” like us and still want your tattoos on your skin, walk-in to an Adrenaline Studios near you.
Stay tuned to the Adrenaline Studios blog as we continue to deliver interesting news from the world of tattoos. And if you’re in the Vancouver BC or Toronto ON area and want to get a new tattoo, schedule a consultation today.
